This is a quick adventure I drew up a while back. I ran it all the way through but it’s definitely not the best written piece of material.
Hrusk was a quiet barbarian character, enjoying the simple life of a woodsman. After a few too many years living mostly in solitude, he decided he wanted to see more of the world. Shortly after striking out on his own, he met up with Effigy, a newly formed group of adventurers doing much the same as Hrusk. Going into the world to see what they could come back with.
Hrusk was not unintelligent, in fact he was quite intelligent. Unfortunately for him, he still could not read. This attribute lead to quite a few misunderstandings, both troublesome and/or humorous. Effigy saw many faces change in his adventuring party during his time with Effigy. He had many long battles, both glorious and sad. After a long period of adventuring, Hrusk’s final original party member and friend “Zayne” died on what would then be Hrusk’s last adventure. He took his portion of the treasure and added it to his countless trophies.
When Hrusk stopped adventuring and came back to his homeland with all of his rewards, it was finally then that he realized how much he had acquired and the value of his belongings. He began construction on the land he had originally acquired long ago in his first adventure. It had been the only payment a poor duke could afford for the return of his last surviving son. After a few years His castle was complete. It is there he stays, in his lonely but extravagant home. But once you have a taste for the adventure, some just can’t let it go. He now assists many adventuring groups, making friends and enemies. Only going back to sit upon his throne until the next rumor of adventure passes his ears. He will continue to do so until the day comes he sees all of his old true friends again.
A definitely unique character. Ali was only describable as “Special”. He quickly and oddly was taken into an adventuring group known as “The Red Hand”. Although Ali was a smart and wise cleric of Ilamater, he was easily distracted. Most people didn’t think Much of Ali’s short attention span. He was after all a halfling.
The Red hand was an adventuring group that was first organized in an attempt to help a city in need that was suffering from ghosts/haunting’s. The trip alone was interesting to the city. Along the way, The Red Hand stumbled upon a small group of drow circus/festival performers. They were quite entertaining, nice and taught Ali and his new friends a few new dances.
It was not many days after this that the group finally reached their destination of Ashford. A city located in the Dales. It wasn’t long after meeting some of the local townspeople, council members, and mayor that The Red Hand knew something was out of place here besides a few lost spirits.
After a short investigation and good moves made on instinct, Ali and the party discovered that Ashford was a haven for worshippers of the dark god “Rallister” who was an evil god of insanity. Upon discovery the group was bribed to take a large sum of gold, go back to where they came and pretend they resolved the plight and all was well.
Well Ali was a kind halfing and didn’t care for the cruelty and malevolence he saw. It didn’t take long for The Red Hand to decide on the right thing to do and they readied their weapons.
Using Summoned monsters, arcane power, divine might, brute strength, and subtle trickery the Red Hand brought great destruction upon Ashford. They were able to set most of the town ablaze and killed many of the dark cultists. The Red Hand was a very effective combat machine and few members of the town lived if any as any who may have lived would not dare say admit to being a resident of Ashford.
After the Razing the town, all members of The Red Hand Spent a season traveling to local communities to inform of the deeds that took place in Ashford to save their name. Ashford was a well kept secret by the worshipers of Rallister and it took a lot of convincing to save the way people viewed Ali and his friends. It was worth it all in the end of course. Although they wouldn’t be bribed by the dark townspeople of Ashford, you can damn well bet their remains were looted.

Ali Pasha- Halfing Cleric of Ilmater. Easily distracted/short attention span.. Severe addiction to staring at shiny objects (this was how he was easily convinced to join the party- A Paladin in bright shiny new magical platemail is very interesting to this character).
I had a great time playing this character. he was very friendly and sweet, but got into a lot of trouble. But he always had a way out and amused everyone.
Tycho is a very charismatic and dominating face. He knows how to bend the wills of people to get what he wants.
